Meet The Saddlemaker
DAN HIGH
Raised in Monroe, Utah, Dan began working on saddles along side his father in 1987. After building saddles on the side for years, he and his wife, Ashley, opened their own saddle shop in Monroe, Utah called High Quality Saddles in 2008.
In November 2021, they moved their shop & family to Newell, South Dakota to help Dan's heart health.
They are very actively involved in church, love to ride, hunt, fish, breed Quarter Horses, farm alfalfa, & play sports. They have 4 awesome kids & one grandson.
From cutting and roping to trail saddles, Dan makes any style of saddle needed by his customers, with any tooling, at very reasonable and competative prices. High Quality Saddles keep their prices low so the average rider out there can afford a $6,000 saddle without spending a fortune.
Dan also creates one-of-a-kind tack and has extensive skill in saddle and tack repair.
He builds excellent-quality, custom tack, including (but not limited to) chaps, gun scabbards, breaststraps, saddlebags, pouches, cell phone cases, knife scabbards, belts, and just about anything else needed out of leather.

Horses and horse training in general has been a lifelong passion, as he was raised on top of a horse!
Dan takes great pride in his work and it shows in the excellent craftsmanship.
